1.      To start customizing your EFs, go to the calculation settings on the CarbonX platform.

2.      Navigate to the 'GHG Source Management' section to create or edit EFs.

3.      Click the 'Create New EF' button and open the 'EF Customization Form'.

4.      Fill in all the required information listed below:

·       Activity Name: Enter a descriptive name for the activity. For example, "Coal / Company-specific".

·       Region: Select the region related to the EF. For example, "USA".

·       Source: Specify the source of the EF data. For example, "EEA".

·       Year: Select the year of the data used. For example, "2018".

·       Unit: Specify the unit of measurement for the EF. For example, "lbs".

·       Emission Factors:

o   CO2e: Enter the CO2 equivalent value of your data. For example, "0.655 kg/lbs".
*If CO2 equivalent is unknown, enter one of CO2, CH4, and N2O, enter EF uncertainty value (e.g. "7"). The platform will calculate CO2 equivalent.

·       Tier Quality: Select the tier level. For example, "Tier 3".

·       Method Applied: Select the set of IPCC Assessment Report, AR, used for the CO2e calculation. For example, "AR4".

5.      Provide a detailed description of the EF. Include any important notes or specifics about the calculation method. For example, "Generation. Does not account for imports and exports. NOTE: The year reported for this factor reflects the year for which the data were calculated."

6.      Fill in the following information to map the EF:

·       Facilities: Select relevant facilities or facility groups. For example, "Facility A, Offices"

·       Scope: Specify the scope of the EF. For example, "2".

·       Subcategory: Select the subcategory. For example, "Electricity".

7.      To start customizing your EFs, go to the calculation settings on the CarbonX platform.
